Well hello there, neighbour! It’s been a busy old week here in Headcorn and our lovely Weald villages, hasn’t it? We’ve been hearing some sad news about another shop closing its doors on the high street – it’s always a blow when we lose a familiar face and lovely staff. But chin up, because there’s plenty of cheer to be found! For all you music lovers, get ready to skank because Tyber and Pete from The Dualers are heading our way to the Mercure, and the Heart of Headcorn is promising lots of great musical events and well-being sessions throughout 2026. We’re also looking ahead to the fantastic Headcorn Combined Ops Airshow in 2026 – imagine those historic aircraft filling the skies! And if you fancy a good old sing-song, the Phoenix Dementia Choir is a really smiley gang that’s open to all. Out and about, there are plenty of ways to get active. Fancy a wander? The Harrietsham North Downs Walk is on this weekend, and for something a bit different, the Parish Council has launched Walking Touch Rugby. For the little ones, Tyland Barn is hosting Nature Tots, and don't forget the Grafty Green Farmers Market for some delicious local goodies! Over in Biddenden, you can kick off your Sundays with some gentle yoga at Bloomsburys. And if you're looking for a bit of escapism, Frittenden Memorial Hall is showing 'All About My Mother'. It sounds like our Headcorn Village Hall is a real hub of activity, and the Hospice in the Weald Firewalk at The Camden Arms is always a thrilling way to support a brilliant cause. Plus, the mobile library is popping into Parsonage Meadow soon, so don’t miss your chance for a new read! Let’s keep supporting our local community, shall we?
